Every investor makes mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes, and investors are not much different. Even the great Warren Buffett makes mistakes from time to time. His company Berkshire Hathaway has recently reported a 77% drop in profit. That goes to show that even the richest and most successful investor in the modern history, makes mistakes.

That’s why one, especially newbie investor, should always learn from mistakes and not dwell too long in them. Learn, grow and try to be better next time because at the end of the day, investing is about few things – analysis/research, speculation, knowledge, and LUCK LUCK LUCK.

As long as you learn from mistakes and don’t let emotions get the better of your judgment, you will go far.

Remember that when emotions control your actions or cloud your judgment, the possibility of you making more silly mistakes is very high.

This is the advice from many experts and also the advice which I’m trying to learn as we speak.

Hope it helps.

Don’t aware of you have this site. I agree with you that “emotion” plays a very big role in making investment decision. It is a psychology game anyway. :)

Yeap, once your emotion gets the better of you, things might go very wrong. :P I’ve experienced it before.
